At Western Edison we specialize in small to medium sized jobs in the fabrication, machining and manufacturing sector. Located in beautiful Victoria BC, we predominantly cater to clients located in Southern Vancouver Island. Established in 2014, we set out to provide top quality, yet affordable, manufacturing and fabrication services delivered in a timely fashion.
What We Do
Our capabilities include CNC cutting of ferrous and non-ferrous metals as well as a variety of plastics and wood, as well as machining and fabrication of aluminum steel and stainless steel parts.
In-house services include Waterjet cutting up to 6’6” x 10’ in size, 5’ x 10’ CNC router milling, high precision CNC milling and turning, manual machining, as well as multi-process welding.
We work closely with local, sandblasters and powder coaters, which enables us to take something as simple as a sketch on a napkin and transform that idea into fully finished parts.

Our Founder
For as long as he can remember, Donovan Ma has had a passion for building and creating. Whether it was repairing bicycles for his first job at age 13, customizing his first vehicle at age 16, or restoring vintage vehicles throughout university, Donovan has always loved working with his hands.
After graduating from Camosun College’s Mechanical Engineering Technology program, Donovan worked as a manufacturing engineer before deciding to combine his innate hands-on skills and academic knowledge. With over 20 years of experience as a fabricator and machinist, Donovan recognized the need for quality local manufacturing at competitive prices. He witnessed first-hand the ongoing frustrations local businesses were facing when sourcing their parts from offshore companies; expensive shipping costs, constant delays, and fragmented communication were just a few items on a long list of issues. But for Donovan, there was a simple solution – establish a local manufacturing company that offers competitive offshore prices, but without shipping costs, and provide clients with all the benefits of fast, friendly and quality service. Thus, Western Edison Manufacturing was born.
